Authorship Determination Policy

Authorship eligibility in the Al-Qadisiyah Journal of Veterinary Medicine Sciences follows internationally accepted standards, including those of the ICMJE. To qualify as an author, individuals must have made substantial contributions to the conception or design of the study, or to data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation; contributed to drafting or critically revising the manuscript; approved the final version for publication; and agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work. Contributors who do not meet all authorship criteria should be acknowledged with their permission. The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal and ensuring all co-authors approve the submission and any subsequent revisions. Any changes in authorship (addition, removal, or reordering) require justification and prior approval from the Editor-in-Chief before acceptance, and editorial decisions involving editors as authors will be handled independently following COPE guidelines.
