Reviewers are appreciated by both authors and QJVMS for their efforts, time, and willingness to help enhancing the review process while ensuring high-quality revisions. The journal kindly request reviewers to submit their revisions within three weeks.

Responsibilities of reviewers

  • If you were invited to assess a manuscript by the Editor-in-Chief of QJVMS, please keep in mind these points:
  • Engaging in a detailed and analytical evaluation of the manuscript; providing critical and constructive feedback; and offering recommendations that incorporate helpful suggestions as to how the authors might strengthen their manuscript.
  • Evaluating various versions of a manuscript as required
  • Ensuring timely submission of all necessary information within specified time limits
  • Suggesting to the editor if the manuscript seems suitable to be published in the journal (ie, worth considering for publication in the journal)
  • Informing the editor of any conflict of interests relating to the author of the manuscript or to the content of the manuscript.
  • Submitting a report regarding potential research misconduct
  • Suggest reviewers to serve as alternatives in the event that they are not able to evaluate the article for whatever reason.
  • Regarding the manuscript, it is imperative to handle it with utmost confidentiality.
  • Not utilizing the content presented in the manuscript.
  • Avoiding direct communication with authors, if they are somehow able to identify the authors.
  • Not to declare themselves as authors
  • Not to transfer the assigned manuscript to another reviewer
  • Ensuring the manuscript's quality and originality.
  • Please inform the editor if you are aware that the manuscript you are handling is also under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Please write the review report in English language only.
  • Writing a commentary for publication that is related to the reviewed manuscript
  • Reviewers should identify novelty, originality, if there is any addition of knowledge to the field of study, structure of the manuscript in accordance with Author Guide of the journal, research misconduct, and English writing.
